MILDENHALL  2
HARWICH & PARKESTON  0
11 March 2008

After Saturdays game Tony started with the same 11, he told the players to carry on were they had left off.
On a wet and windy night Harwich kicked off up the slope at Mildenhall and against the wind and it was not long before Harwich came under pressure but the back four were outstanding as was Ed Wootten in goal. Just before the break Morley hit one hell of a shot that just went wide of the Mildenhall goal, Harwich fought hard against a strong Mildenhall side to go in at the break 0-0.

Harwich kicked off down the slope by this time the wind and dropped so no advantage, second half it was end to end football with both sides going close but on the 68 min Paynter fired home the opener for the home side. A few minutes later Liam Morley was stretchered off with a bad knee injury, the game was held  up for about 10 minutes, he was in a lot of pain, I missed a lot of the game while attending to Liam.

When I came back it was still end to end, Harwich never gave up and went close in the last few minutes, the Mildenhall keeper made a great save from a Stace header. Campbell slot home Mildenhall's second in injury time. I have to say the players were a credit to the club and to themselves last night if we keep playing like that we will be safe from the drop.

Liam was taken to Hospital at Bury St Edmunds, he was still in a lot of pain, his knee was put back into joint and he had his leg put into plaster we all wish him well
