F.C CLACTON U18s 1
HARWICH & PARKESTON U18s 0
26th March 2008

With the league title wrapped up, the Harwich management used this game to look at 5-6 up and coming players for season 2008/2009, leaving out seven 1st team regulars, this was always going to be a hard test against Phil Green's hard working Clacton side, both teams playing 4-4-2 really nullified the game with no real clear cut chances for either side, Harwich lost Ollie Mann & Sean Kioussis within 15 minutes of the game starting through injuries making it harder to create good flowing football.  The game was decided mid way through the 2nd half, Harwich keeper Elliot Harrison making an error and gifting the ball to the Clacton player to score. Late on Harwich had a flurry and great Clacton goalkeeping stopped Harwich from getting something out of the game. This was a worthwhile exercise by the Harwich management and gave chances to squad players who had not really featured in the league campaign this season. Well done Clacton and thanks for hosting us on what can only be described as a horrible rainy night.  Good to see Harwich old boy Scott Wass at the game supporting the youngsters as always a pleasure to see.
