Harwich were quick to assert themselves on the match as Essex U18s frontman, Sam Eldridge tucked away Chatter's 14th minute cross. In conditions more familiar to Siberia the Shrimpers doubled their lead shortly before the interval, Luke Jones latching onto Eldridge's through ball and beating Crump at the near post. The Seasiders were quick to reply, Phillips smashing the ball from close range.
Felixstowe started the second period in positive mood and equalised through Phillips low drive and then grabbed the lead, Goddard's volley bulging the roof of the Harwich net. The Srimpers pushed forward in numbers and with almost the last throw of the dice Ollie Mann found Carmichael unmarked at the back post to tap home the equaliser and give the hosts a well deserved point.
