HARWICH & PARKESTON U18's  3
WITHAM TOWN 18's   0
6th September 2007

With Illness and suspensions Phil Harrison made changes after last weeks victory away at Melford, the game started a very close encounter, with Harwich just edging it and creating plenty of chances, the back four of Dan Harrison, James King, Lee Peacock and the impressive Daryl Johnson very solid playing with strength and confidence in front of the Harwich keeper Elliot Harrison. It was Harwich who went into half time ahead after a very misfortunate own goal.
The second half was all Harwich much to the disgust of what could only be called a boisterous Witham bench and supporters, the wide two of Andrew Hammett and Reece Harris creating wave after wave of runs down the wings and from these Harwich scoring two more well taken goals from Dom Warren and Oliver Mann,  Phil Taylor in the middle of midfield  for Harwich fought for every ball and the front two of Warren and Hammond never stopped running throughout the game, to there credit both teams tried to play good passing football but in the end frustration came into the game with both teams picking up needless bookings which will prove expensive for those players involved, this result leaves Harwich the only team in the division with the maximum points and sitting very proudly at the top of the table.
