CRC
 HARWICH & PARKESTON
23 November 2007

Robbie May made a few a changes from last weeks game by bringing on-loan Kevin Hughes from Sudbury in at centre half and Lee Matson going to left back, Robbie unselfishly dropping himself to the bench. Upfront Matt Carmichael starting his first full game of the season in place of Lee Underwood. I must say how nice it was to see Kevin Hughes back in a Harwich shirt even though he is only on loan for a few weeks.

Harwich were up against an inform CRC at the Abbey Stadium and with in two minutes took the lead with a fine shot from Tony Chatters, Harwich took control of the midfield and on ten minutes were two up with Scott Page running onto a through ball placing it out of reach of  the CRC Keeper.
From then on it was end to end, CRC coming back into the game and playing some nice one twos, it was not long before they pulled one back but Harwich still pushed forward with both Page & Carmichael going close, but just before half time CRC pulled a further goal back to go in at half time all level.

Harwich come out second half against the wind and took control of the game from the start and were playing some great football not allowing CRC into the game, I can see why CRC are in such a high position in the league as they play some great one touch football, if you allow them, it was all credit to Harwich today they shut them down quickly. Harwich went ahead again with a great over head kick from Carmichael which flew into top left hand corner of CRC goal giving the CRC keeper no chance at all.

CRC came back into the game as they pushed forward and put the Harwich defence under pressure but the Harwich back four held out well with Ed Wootten making a couple of good saves. Once again Harwich pushed forward, Scott Page scoring his second goal of the game, final score CRC 2 HPFC 4. Harwich have now won 4 out of 5 league games a great result and my man of the match goes to Scott Page for his hard work and two great goals.
